Great service from Phil, he was very attentive and friendly, got our orders in quick and made us feel very welcome. The other staff were on point as well, grill was changed multiple times before I could even ask. Overall a wonderful experience for a late Father's Day celebration with the family. My recommendation for meats from the $30 dinner menu: pork cheek, beef belly, and rib fingers. Dessert was very unique and enjoyable, similar to mango beignets. Very happy to have won a gift card from the Father's Day Instagram contest, didn't realize the menu had that many options! Would definitely come back 😄

This place never disappoints! I visited during the weekend. It was $32 per person and they let you do half orders which was great. I tried a lot of items on the menu...teriyaki pork chop, hangjungsal, honey soy beef roll, garlic chicken, deep fried mandu, premium chadol, sweet garlic beef belly, and shrimp. They were all so good. I loved the sides as well, especially the radish paper. The mango tango bites were pretty good too. I tried the hotteok as well but they were not as good as the ones I had in Korea. The dough was gooey or like mochi. It felt like it was undercooked to me. The jjan original soju was pretty good; it was imported from Korea and $14 a bottle. The music was always amazing and the service was excellent. You can park for free on the street or in the parking garages-- there's 2 structures.

We went to GEN on a Monday night around 8 pm with a group of 5 people. The wait was only around 15 minutes so it wasn’t bad. I have a soy allergy so I asked for a table with 2 grills (since we were a party of 6 anyways) and they sat us at a booth with one grill, but our server said they did have tables with 2 grills available. The menu is pretty simple, and we did opt for the premium menu. They didn’t have 2 of the meats listed on the premium menu so that was a bummer, since it’s $20 extra. The wagyu was exactly the same as beef belly , literally looking and tasting the same, which is disappointing. I would say opt for the $30 menu, because the additional items seem to be most often out of stock. The meat quality was ok overall. This wouldn’t be my top 3 recommendations to anyone, but it is a cheaper eat specially for all you can eat. They were also out of some of the sides as well, and some of the meats ran out while we were ordering. The service was great, so I would say we have no complaints there.

It wasn't nearly as busy as last time we dined here. We were seated right away and although our server was busy with many tables ahead of us, he managed to bring us everything we had asked; salad, calamari, soybean soup, rice papers, fork, ice waters, beer, thin brisket beef, ribeye steak, and few others. They changed out the grill multiple times from burning, and we had a great dining experience!! Buy the giftcards from Costco before coming out, to save about $30 for 2 people!! Very worth it!!

I've been here a couple times but today was the best experience I've had at Gen. When coming here previously on a weekday the service was pretty slow but our server Spencer was wonderful. The food was a lot better this time around and portion sizes were generous. $20 per person for the lunch menu gives you great value. I would always recommend starting out with the Honey beef belly
